STARS Program Overview

STARS OF TOMORROW 2016-2017 Season 

The STARS youth program is designed to help develop the skills necessary to be successful in the performing arts and also assist young performers in life management skills. The program meets once per week beginning in October through June with a Holiday break. Placement in the productions will be based on casting requirements. The rehearsal schedule immediately prior to a production is based on the difficulty of the production. If cast, there is a $275 fee per STAR that covers the entire year (scholarships are available). Auditions for our Stars of Tomorrow Youth Program

Monday, September 26, 2016 at 5:45 p.m. (7 years old – 10 years old)
Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 5:45 p.m. (11 years old – 12 years old)
Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 5:45 p.m. (13 years old – High School Graduation)

Please note: It is encouraged to attend your age appropriate audition, however, you may attend any of the three available dates. 

The Fermata Stars A Cappella vocal group auditions are Wednesday September 28th ONLY during the regular STARS Audition. You do not have to be cast in STARS to participate in Fermata Stars. 

**At this time auditions for the STARS 2016-2017 Season are closed, we will announce our 2017-2018 Season on July 8th, 2017 and auditions will be held in September.**


No Experience Necessary. We will train you!

Please Limit Vocal Auditions To A Maximum Of 1 Minute or 16 bars of music. Sheet Music Is Preferred (We Provide Pianist). CD Accompaniment Must Not Contain Prerecorded Vocals and must stop at 1 minute. NO CASSETTE TAPES, PHONES, OR IPODS PLEASE.

If you do not have a prepared song, you will be asked to sing "Happy Birthday" with the Piano Accompaniment (A Pianist Will Be Provided). NO ACAPELLA VOCALS, PLEASE. You will also be given simple stage movement to follow. Please dress comfortably with correct shoes to move.

Pet owners, Roger and Anita, live happily in London with their Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita's former classmate, the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.”

“Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities.
It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.”
